SPRING IS HERE!!
Oh joy and happy day! Spring has finally arrived in Minnesota!! I really thought this day would never come!
I've had a busy couple of months...Art in Bloom at the Minneapolis Institute of Art...Classes at the Arboretum...Teas at some of my favorite churches...but now I can relax for a while and have a cuppa!
You know, it's interesting, but our tastes change as we get...ahem...older. I've never been particularly fond of floral tea blends. But, I've come to appreciate their delicate flavor and subtle nuances, their smoothness! The chrysanthemum tea I created for Art In Bloom really had a depth of flavor that surprised me. I've started to make a habit of having a cup at night to help me get a good night's sleep...and sleep is that gets harder and harder to come by as we get...oh, okay, I'll say it again...older.!! Sometimes I even have it iced in the late afternoon when I really shouldn't have caffeine and I'm loving that too!
Now that the weather allows us to sit out on our decks and porches, you might want to give a floral tea blend a try. There's no caffeine, so you don't have to worry about it keeping you up until all hours. In fact, you just might find that when you go to bed (with the windows open!!), you are so relaxed you won't need to go over tomorrow's "to do" list one more time...you just....might...drift...off...!!!
Happy Brewing Everyone!!
